About
METSÄKETUN KIEVARI
What all do we have?
Our operation at Taivasmaa Farm has grown year by year.
Previously, our place was known as Metsäketun Pizzeria. However, the dream for our place has always been broader than just a pizzeria, and now with the new additions we changed the name of our place to Metsäketun Kievari. We want Metsäketun Kievari to be a place where you can come to relax and spend the whole day if you like.
By clicking the map markers below or scrolling down the page, you can explore everything we have to offer!

FORESTFOXE'S PIZZERIA
Since 2023, Metsäketun Pizzeria has been serving incredibly delicious artisan pizzas and homemade desserts in the atmospheric loft of a charming old barn in Taivasmaa.
The restaurant operates in the loft from May until the end of September. After that, it moves to the cozy and intimate tipi tent on the farm for the winter season.
The restaurant has become especially popular during the summer, so we recommend reserving a table (though it’s not mandatory).
Check current reservation situation and make your booking via the homepage of our website.

FOX CAFÉ
In summer 2026, a new gem will open on the fields of Taivasmaa Farm at Metsäketun Kievari: Fox Café.
This 10-meter-diameter tipi tent is perfectly designed for the rural landscape – in summer, with all sides rolled up, the café opens to a stunning 360-degree panorama: vast open fields, endless horizon, and the peaceful embrace of nature all around you.
Here, time slows down.
Sit back, order a refreshing or warming drink, a sweet pastry, or a savory snack – and let your gaze wander across the scenery. At the same time, soak in the grounding farm atmosphere: summer yard games await players, the 7-hectare forest adventure trail invites exploration, and the sheep grazing in the field are happy to receive some gentle scratches and attention. Right next door is the new Field Spa, featuring a organic swimming pool, hot tub, and two saunas
– the perfect combination for deep relaxation.
And when hunger strikes, head up to the barn loft where Metsäketun Pizzeria crafts handmade, heavenly artisan pizzas using the finest local ingredients.
The café is open whenever Metsäketun Kievari is open, and we do not take reservations for the café. You can always drop by Fox Café regardless of the booking situation at Metsäketun Pizzeria.

Here, there is no rush or noise – only an open sky, treetops swaying gently in the breeze, and the soft, enveloping löyly.
At the heart of the spa awaits a refreshing organic swimming pool, two distinctive saunas, and a warm hot tub. Immerse yourself in the water or the steam, let your gaze drift to the horizon – the grounding rural landscape soothes the mind while your body fully relaxes.
Right next to the spa, Fox Café is at your service, offering refreshing drinks, sweet and savory treats, and light snacks. SUMMER SHEEPS
During the summer, sheeps from the nearby Kalliolan Farm graze in the fields of Taivasmaa Farm.
You’re welcome to go and gently pet the sheep while Metsäketun Kievari is open – and it’s completely free for our guests!
Please keep in mind that sheep are very timid animals and startle easily. Always approach them calmly, walking slowly and speaking softly. Running or loud noises will make them run away. We also kindly ask that only a small, reasonable number of people go up to the sheep at the same time – a big approaching group can scare them too. If it seems like the sheep won’t let you come close despite your calm efforts, please give them their space. You can try again later, or perhaps with help from one of our staff members.
IMPORTANT: Please remember – do NOT feed the sheep anything!
Sheep have very sensitive stomachs, which is why they should never be given anything that they couldn’t naturally find and eat in the meadow’s grass mix themselves. So please keep your own treats to yourself and focus on gently petting, stroking, and talking sweetly to them instead.
They absolutely love that!
