– the heart of Taivasmaa Farm in Kisko, Salo.
What was once known as Metsäketun Pizzeria has now taken its dream further and grown into a full-fledged kievari: a place where incredibly delicious food, deep relaxation, and nature come together in an authentic countryside landscape. At Metsäketun Kievari, you'll find: Metsäketun Pizzeria on the cozy barn loft,
Fox Café and Field Spa right by the field’s edge,
the forest adventure trail in our 7-hectare forest,
summer sheeps to pet, yard games, and so much more!

Philosophy
THE THOUGHT BEHIND OUR PIZZERIA
Metsäketun Kievari is a dream of a place, where customers can enjoy incredible taste experiences and relax in a wonderful farm environment. Our ingredients are the soul of our restaurant and café. At Metsäketun Kievari, almost all ingredients come from producers as close as possible and from our own farm. Our dream is that in the future almost all ingredients would come from the fields and forests of our own farm, where the kievari is located as well.

When Kievari is open, all our locations are open: the Pizzeria, Foxcafé and Field Spa. From September onwards, the Foxcafé sales point has been moved to our Pizzeria, but you can still enjoy all the café products at Pizzeria, and also in the Tipi-building if you wish.

TO BOOK, OR NOT TO BOOK?
Reserving a time for a treat at our pizzeria is not mandatory, but it’s recommended for two reasons:
1. The pizza bases are always fermented for 2 days, so there is a limited number available on opening days, and more cannot be prepared during the day.
2. We make about 12 pizzas in half an hour – this limits the number of customers, so that waiting times don’t get too long.
By reserving your spot, you secure your place for that day. You can also come without a reservation if the calendar below shows available space. Please note, however, that the situation can change quickly (especially in summer).
HOW TO BOOK TAKE-AWAY:
Pizzas can always also be taken away! When booking takeaway, select the previous half-hour slot and write the collection time and the pizzas in the comment field. Example: If you want to pick up 2 margheritas at 13:00, reserve the 12:30 slot and write:
“2 x margherita, collection 13:00”

PIZZA JOY TO YOUR EVENT
Do you have an event or do you know of an event where you would like delicious artisan pizzas for sale?
Metsäketun Pizzeria has a new fantastic food cart that allows us to conjure up delicious pizzas for various events. We have been involved for two years, for example, in Fiskars Bike Expo and Herttoniemi Rhubarb Festival. We can conjure up pizzas for your event that will stay in the memory of your visitors and bring a smile to their faces.

Metsäketun Kievari is located at Taivasmaa Farm in Kisko, Salo. The easiest way to get here is by car, with plenty of parking available in front of the barn and on the lower field once you arrive.
We will now be open year-round on our farm! When our barn's loft area gets too cold for our pizzeria around October–November, our pizzeria will move into our new tipi building. The walls of the tipi building will be lowered, a wooden doorway will be installed, and a heat-retaining fireplace will be placed in the centre. During the winter season, our tipi will therefore serve as a cosy and atmospheric pizzeria.
Peltokylpylä is also open year-round whenever our Kievari is open! In the winter season, in addition to the warm saunas and the hot tub, you can also take a dip in the ice hole in our new swimming pond.
There’s lots to see and do around our farm! We’ve put together a map showing all our favorite spots nearby. So come treat yourselves, relax with us, and experience all the wonderful things the surrounding area has to offer!
